WEATHER-RELATED CHANGES: Round Hill Hometown Festival - Saturday, May 23, 2026!
UPDATED WEATHER-RELATED CHANGES from the Round Hill Hometown Festival Committee:
For the first time in 22 years, the weather has caught up with us. But we’re not going to let it slow us down!
Hometown Festival Committee members are working diligently to finalize plans to move everything after the 5k and Parade to Round Hill Elementary School. This includes the Memorial Ceremony, Main and Youth Stage entertainment (yes, including The Reflex at 7 p.m.!), Pie Contest, Cornhole Tournament, Children’s Fair, food vendors and games and arts. Unfortunately we will need to cancel the Downhill Derby for the safety of all involved.
This year’s Hometown Festival involves more than a dozen musical groups and a dozen food vendors, the RHVFDR, the LCSO, the Loudoun County Health Department and Fire Marshall, and numerous community groups. While we can move the location on short notice, we are unable to move the date.
As you can imagine, the Festival Committee members who’ve spent the last four months planning our event are just as disappointed as you are (if not more!) that the sun won’t be shining, but we’re not going to let it break our stride!
We will be posting more details tomorrow as we work through logistics with the school system, the vendors, the entertainers and all our community partners. Please be patient with us — we’re new at this rain thing — and please still plan to come out to RHES after the 5k and Parade and make Saturday the Best (Rainy) Day of the Year in Round Hill!
Please join us for the Round Hill Hometown Festival on Saturday, May 23.
Activities include a 5K Race, Parade, Memorial Day Ceremony, and music, food, and fun throughout the day.
