Round Hill Town Council Interim Vacancy
The Round Hill Town Council is looking for residents interested in serving on the Town Council to fill a vacancy. This will be an interim appointment with a term ending on December 31, 2025. This seat will be on the ballot for the November 4, 2025 General Election for a four-year term (January 2026-December 2029).
The Town Council typically meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. as well as special meetings as needed. The duties of the Town Council include establishing Town government policy, acting upon local resolutions and ordinances, setting tax rates and utility rates, approving the annual Town budget and six-year Capital Improvement Plan, appointing members to committees, and providing policy guidance for the Town Administrator. The Council also considers land use requests such as re-zoning requests and conditional use permits.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have been a resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia for at least one year, must have lived within the Town’s corporate limits for a minimum of six months, and must be registered to vote.

Submissions can also be dropped off at the Town Office, 23 Main Street, Round Hill between 8:30AM and 4:30 p.m. weekdays (you can also use the drop boxes).
The Round Hill Town Council will hold a public hearing on May 7, 2025 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Round Hill Town Office, 23 Main Street, Round Hill, Virginia to announce the names of all persons being proposed for the interim appointment of a vacancy on the Town Council, as well as making resumes or other information available. The Town Council will also conduct interviews with qualified applicants on the evening of May 17, 2023.
